Brianna Lois Parker (b.1998, UK) is a Caribbean-British oil painter whose work encapsulates everyday experiences. Parker's paintings are intergenerational, as she triggers cultural nostalgia, through imagery and visual narratives. Her work is strongly Black and British. She has a personal relationship with the subjects of the work, this connection provides the paintings with an additional layer of character and identity. Parker graduated from studying Fine Art BA(Hons) in 2021, obtaining a first-class degree and has been a practising artist since.
Notably, she was awarded the Margate Art Prize by Dame Tracey Emin DBE RA. Also, Parker was commissioned by Netflix to create a painting for an exhibition to celebrate the BAFTA award winning show Top Boy. Portrait of a Top Boy was held in the Somerset House and is featured at the National Portrait Gallery (online).
